About
Institutional support for the organisation, aimed at facilitating the implementation of ULAG’s strategic priorities: independent, regular assessment of the needs of the justice system; the development of proposals for public policy in the field of justice; strategic litigation; international advocacy; and the strengthening of management systems and operational activities with a view to ensuring long-term sustainability and systemic impact.
Key objectives
- To contribute to the creation of a comprehensive, evidence-based public policy framework in the justice sector in response to international crimes in Ukraine.
- To strengthen strategic, victim-centred legal representation and case preparation within national and international accountability mechanisms.
- To strengthen ULAG’s institutional capacity and resilience so that the organisation can act as a leading civil society actor in the field of justice reform.
Expected results
- ULAG intends to contribute to the structural strengthening of Ukraine’s justice system in the field of international crimes, ensuring greater coherence in accountability mechanisms, their focus on victims’ interests and institutional resilience.
- Justice policy on international crimes becomes more coherent, strategic and evidence-based.
- Victim-centred accountability is becoming an integral part of institutional practice.
- Ukraine’s justice sector measures are better integrated with international mechanisms.
- Strengthening the institutional resilience of civil society leaders in the justice reform process.
